J.D./M.B.A. candidate chosen to address graduating Latine Ducks and their families at the University of Oregon's graduation celebration in Eugene, Oregon

Addison Sandoval, a J.D./M.B.A. candidate at the University of Oregon School of Law and Lundquist College of Business, has been selected to deliver the graduate reflection at the University of Oregon’s ¡Sí se pudo! Latine Graduation Celebration. The celebration will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the Erb Memorial Union Ballroom in Eugene, Oregon, where graduating Latine students will be honored alongside the families, friends, faculty, and community members who supported them.
¡Sí se pudo! is the first of its kind graduation celebration hosted by the Community and Belonging unit within the Office of the Dean of Students at the University of Oregon. The bilingual celebration recognizes the achievements of graduating Latine students and the loved ones whose support and sacrifices carried them to the milestone. As the selected graduate reflection speaker, Sandoval will offer remarks to the graduating class and the families gathered to celebrate them.
Sandoval is part of the inaugural cohort at UO Portland. A first-generation graduate of Mexican American heritage, he is an M.F.A. graduate of the USC School of Cinematic Arts and an award-winning filmmaker who later added law to his repertoire, focusing on criminal justice, civil rights, and consumer protection. He was recently named a 2026 UO 25 Ducks Award recipient and is set to graduate with his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees with the Class of 2026.
“Being chosen to give the graduate reflection is one of the most meaningful honors of my time at Oregon,” Sandoval said.
The ¡Sí se pudo! Latine Graduation Celebration takes place during the University of Oregon’s 2026 commencement weekend, ahead of the college ceremonies in which Sandoval will be hooded as a member of the J.D./M.B.A. Class of 2026.
