University of Oregon School of Law Announces 2026 Commencement
Addison Sandoval, a JD/MBA candidate, to graduate with Class of 2026 at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon
Addison Sandoval, a JD/MBA student at the University of Oregon in Eugene and Portland, will graduate with the Class of 2026 at the University of Oregon School of Law’s Commencement Ceremony. The event will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Oregon, where JD and LLM graduates will be recognized in a formal academic ceremony attended by family, friends, faculty, and community members.
Matthew Knight Arena is named after Nike founder and philanthropist, Phil Knight’s late son. The University of Oregon chose the name to honor Matthew, who died at age 34 in a scuba diving accident while doing charitable work in El Salvador.
Graduating with the Class of 2026
Sandoval will participate in the 2026 Commencement Ceremony alongside fellow JD and LLM graduates as they are formally hooded and recognized for completing their legal studies. The program will highlight the accomplishments of the graduating class and mark their transition into the legal profession and related fields.
In addition to the main ceremony, the law school will host a pre-commencement reception on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. in the University of Oregon School of Law Commons. The reception will offer graduates, their guests, and faculty an opportunity to connect and celebrate prior to the arena ceremony.
