Addison Sandoval, M.F.A.
Addison Sandoval is an American artist and advocate whose work bridges creative expression and social justice. Based in Los Angeles and Portland, he brings together diverse perspectives from the arts, law, and business.
Sandoval earned an M.F.A. in Film and Television Production from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, the nation’s preeminent film school. He also holds dual B.A.s in Film and Media Studies and Political Science from the School of Humanities and the School of Social Sciences, respectively, at the University of California, Irvine. He is currently pursuing J.D. and M.B.A. degrees as part of the inaugural class at the University of Oregon in Portland, with a concentration in criminal practice in law and finance and securities analysis in business.
In 2026, Sandoval was named a recipient of the UO 25 Ducks Award, one of the University of Oregon’s most prestigious honors. Presented annually by the Emerald Media Group, the UO Student Alumni Association, and The Duck Store, the award recognizes twenty-five students for academic achievement, leadership, campus involvement, and community impact.
His projects critically examine power, morality, and justice, drawing on noir traditions to engage with contemporary issues such as civil rights, structural oppression, and systemic corruption.
Alongside his artistic work, Sandoval is active in research and advocacy for consumer protection and equitable legal frameworks, applying his interdisciplinary expertise to address challenges faced by marginalized communities and foster a more just society.
